1% Foundation is currently supporting a project known as “Shopno Chari” where the underprivileged children of garments factory undergo an examination designed by the Dhaka University IER department, they filter the best students and fund their studies till higher education. To find more students The 1% Foundation had a meeting with the education research board where question papers has been made according to “Boom’s Taxonomy” based on the age of children from 14 years to 16 years where they can measure their general knowledge, analytical ability and critical thinking through the examinations. The extra ordinary student's then gets funded by their Factory owners. Along with that we also want to support the students with books that will increase their knowledge and also sponsor more potential children other than the top extra ordinary student whom the factory owner is sponsoring. JCI Dhaka Uptown, a chapter of JCI Bangladesh initiated this project and 1 Percent Foundation is raising fund to support the students and keep the examination going. After the Goal is reached, a consultancy wing will also be opened for students to get free consultancy on their career direction and education opportunity queries.
